The career path I chose as an educator has allowed me a lot of time to travel and see the world (mostly beaches and warm tropical places). I joke with my wife that we as educators get mini-retirements in the summer to explore, learn, and experience what the world has to offer.
We don't have to wait 30 years behind a desk and then begin the journey. The journey restarts every school and summer break! We love the anticipation and excitement that comes with planning a vacation. Researching all that our destination has to offer and then diving right into the food, the atmosphere, and the unknown.
Traveling is an investment that I enjoy making because it slows down the moments and it allows me to mindfully connect with a new environment while I actually get to see the bigger picture in my life.
True Happiness is sustained long after an action. I can close my eyes right now and visualize something that makes/has made me happy and 10/10 it has to do with a moment, an experience or somewhere I have traveled to.

I came across this article and would rather spend money on experiences than on material possessions. Travel is one of the best ways to get the most out of your money. As a parent, I want my kids to understand the importance of living in the moment and want them to experience all 5 senses together as often as possible.

VRBO is a new way for people to travel and vacation. Find a property to rent or even list your own property to share with others.
Expedia is one, if not our favorite way to explore and compare flights when we get the travel itch. Highly recommend!
