Football Activities and Resources
Pass until Whistle– partners pass and catch. On whistle, whoever has ball must skip
around gym away from their partner until they hear the whistle and word reset. Partner
without ball is trying to tag them and is also skipping. Td scored if player doesn't
get tagged for player with ball, or if player without ball tags them before whistle is
blown. Reset and go back to catching and throwing. (Add flags to make it harder)
4-Down Touchdown- groups of 3 will each have 1 football and 1 poly spot. The goal is to score a TD in under 4 passes. 1 player is center, 1 is wr and 1 is qb. Players take turn switching and every time a ball is caught the poly spot is moved up to where player caught the ball. Goal is to try and score as many tds while having everyone take turns touching the ball as they play a different role. Can also be played with no center and just QB and Wr's.
Football Station Course (6 stations)-
1. QB shuffle around steps/cones with ball and throw through basketball point cover
or through hula hoop hanging or at pin
2. Punt ball to 3. receiving team (1 team receiving, 1 team catching) 1 player punts and
1 fields the punt on half of the gymnasium (2 stations- kick and then field)
4. Football carry hoop drill- carry football correctly while running in and out of hoops
5. Qb/WR/Def.- 1 student acts as qb, wr and def. Take turns running routes and
switch up roles
6. Push the Tire– take turns pushing tire from one cone to the other
around gym away from their partner until they hear the whistle and word reset. Partner

Basketball Activities and Resources
Basketball Pass Relay- 1 student starts with ball and their teammates stand on a poly spot, after the player with the ball passes the ball to a player and they pass it back they rotate down to the next spot, once the last player passes it back the person with the ball gets on the last poly spot they give the ball to the first person who isn’t on a spot. (start with bounce pass, chest pass and creative pass)
2 on 1 Basketball- 2 players try to pass ball back and forth while 1 player in middle is on defense. Ball can’t hit ground and when player has ball they can’t move. Stress moving to get open and player who is guarding to put arms out to try and knock ball away. If defender knocks ball and retrieves it, player that passed it becomes defender. Great cardiovascular activity.
Hula Hoop Basketball- players are separated into 4 teams and 1 game is played on each side of the gym. 1 team has to stay inside of the hula hoops and every time they get the ball they earn 1 point. The other team is allowed to work together to try and shoot at the basket to score points. Switch means players go from hoops to offense and from offense to hoops. Teams on defense can call time out to move hoops in any formation they like, however they can’t move hoops as they play and can only jump from hoop to hoop to move. If they obtain a rebound they earn 1 point and the offense gets the ball again. After a few minutes, switch roles and after a few more minutes mix up teams playing. Variation– allow defenders to move inside of hoops by shuffling their feet.

Soccer Activities and Resources
Soccer Move- Divide students into groups of five to seven students. Students must practice passing the ball around the circle without moving and without the ball leaving the circle.
Soccer Line Move- Then each group will have time to plan how they are going to move the ball as a group from one baseline to the other. The ball must remain in the circle of students and cannot leave the circle. If the ball is kicked out of the circle the group must start over from the beginning. Goal is to do it as many times from red line to red line with everyone touching the ball.
Soccer Pin Protect- each student has a pin they must protect. Soccer balls are scattered around the gym and students can leave their pin to get a ball, however they must dribble it back and shoot it only from their pin. If the pin gets knocked over they must pick up their pin and do 1 lap around the gym and they can reset their pin in a new spot. Variation– activity can be played with players waiting for pins on a line be-hind a cone. When someone gets their pin knocked over they pick it up and hand it to the next player in line behind the cone and they enter the activity while that player re-ports to the end of the line. Variation 2– teams can be set on each side of the gym or in quadrants and if a pin gets knocked over that belongs to a player they must join the team that knocked it over and continue the activity. Team with most players at end wins game!

Baseball/Softball Activities and Resources
Stations– Rotate players through stations after 2-3 minutes
1. Throw ball into bucket from distance
2. Ball tied to string hanging from net players take turns hitting
3. Pitch pin knock over from distance
4. Monkey in the Middle/Run the Bases
5. Hit off Cone Pin point– hitting off of tee while trying to knock over pins to earn points.
6. Reaction balls– partners bounce reaction balls back and forth trying to work on eye-hand coordination
Softball Team tag- player hits ball off of cone and will try to tag as many players be-fore the fielding team can get the ball back to the player who is in the hula hoop. However many players they tag is the amount of runs they earn for their team. (if tagged those players must sit down) Everyone bats and switch. 2 Games going on each side of the gym. Variation– have 2 games going on in the gym and have students remember to sit when tagged so that runs can be added up. Team must get ball back to pitcher to place in bucket to make batter stop tagging players. Switch after everyone has gone.

Hockey Activities and Resources
Face Off- students partner up and practice facing off for points. Players rotate
and find new player. Variation– have students use noodles and yarn ball in middle or other pieces of equipment so they have to work on reaction using various pieces of equipment while making the activity a lot of fun and engaging.(noodles, bats, cones, etc.)
Hockey Sharks- 1 player starts with their stick in the middle of the gym and they can move anywhere. If they knock your puck away, you get on a knee and you help the shark from half court and try to knock away others pucks. The activity continues until all the players are sharks. Players with sticks must keep sticks on the ground at all times and players who are on knees are actively helping the moving shark.

Volleyball Activities and Resources
Individual Balloon Challenges (to help practice Volleyball-related skills) Great to slow it down and help reinforce skills.
1. Students keep balloons in air
2. Using various body parts
3. Exercises with balloon
4. Bumping
5. Setting
6. Serving
7. Combination given and they will repeat back (EX- Bump, Set, Serve, Bump, Set)
8. Partner students up and they give sequence to partner to attempt (Bump, Set, Catch, Knee, Serve, Head, Bump, etc.)
1 ON 1 VOLLEYBALL- 2 PLAYERS HOLD JUMP ROPE NECK HIGH AND 2 PLAYERS PLAY VOLLEYBALL WITH BEACH BALL OR OTHER. NETS DON’T MOVE NET, HOWEVER CAN MOVE CLOCKWISE OR COUNTER BY WALKING AND CAN HOLD ONE END HIGHER OR LOWER TO MAKE TOUGHER. DO WITH R/L, BOTH SET, BUMP, HEAD AND ROTATE NET PLAYERS AND ALSO SERVERS. HAVE THEM DO MATH PROBLEMS BY MULTIPLES OF ANY NUMBER OR HAVE EACH PERSON SAY LETTER WHEN THEY HIT THE BALL TO MAKE VOCAB WORD.

Kickball Activities and Resources
PARTNER KICKBALL- STUDENTS UP AND ONE PERSON ROLLS THEM THE BALL AND THEY KICK IT. THE ROLLING PLAYER THAN HAS TO RETRIEVE THE BALL AND TRY TO TAG THEM WITH IT OR TOSSES IT UNDER HAND AT THEM WITH 1 TRY TO EARN A POINT. SWITCH ROLES AND CONTINUE. IF PLAYING WITH 3 SAME ROLES EXCEPT PLAYERS WITH BALL CAN’T MOVE TO CHASE KICKER THEY MUST PASS IT AND TRY TO WORK TOGETHER TO TRY TO MAKE IT TOUCH/HIT PLAYER WHO KICKED IT.
EVERYONE KICKBALL- EVERYONE RUNS THE BASES AFTER THE PLAYER KICKS THE BALL. EVERY PLAYER THAT TOUCHES HOME PLATE SCORES 1 RUN FOR THEIR TEAM. THE FIELDING TEAM CAN PREVENT RUNS BY SHOOTING AT THE BASKET AND MAKING IT IN OR BY PASSING IT TO EVERYONE ON THEIR TEAM AND GETTING THE BALL BACK TO THE PITCHER. KICKER CAN ALSO RUN AROUND TEAMMATES WHO ARE IN A STRAIGHT LINE DOING JUMPING JACKS WHILE THE DEFENSE PERFORMS TASK AS WELL.

Frisbee Activities and Resources
Squad Frisbee Practice- teams must practice passing the Frisbee back and forth without it hitting the ground while they move it to the other side of the gym. Challenge is to see how many times they can complete passes without the Frisbee hitting the floor.
Frisbee Line and Move- have 6-8 lines or targets in a line spread out. All students start on same line facing all the targets (lines or hula hoops). On signal, they begin tossing the frisbee (using proper skills) so it lands/stops and touches the first line of targets. If so, they move up a line and they continue. Goal is to continue the process until they end up at the very last line/target to earn a point. They jog down the sidelines and the activity continues as they keep track of their points. (Imagine 8 lines of tape spread out horizontally) that they are trying to get the frisbee to land on, but they must make it to the next line before moving up.

Tchoukball Activities and Resources
Through the Legs- Players pass the ball and try to bounce it through the legs of a teammate so that it hits the ground before the defense can catch it. No interference by offense of defense and players must stay closer. Small groups of 4 where 2 players are working together. Switch to offense after each attempt. Enforce 3 steps and students must bounce ball so it hits ground once it goes through legs of partner.
Horizontal Single File lines where player in front throws ball at frame for next player in line to catch. Once front player throws it they run around frame from behind and back into the line. Activity continues and players must stay outside of perimeter.
In a line sideways (with frame in front) player rotates to end of line as team moves sideways after each throw and catch.
